Accompanist
Ryan DeHaven is a Portland-based studio instrumentalist, producer, recording engineer, and educator. As a pianist, he has accompanied award-winning choral programs and soloists of all genres, with an impressive repertoire ranging from Sondheim to Rimsky-Korsakov. His pit orchestra work in musical theater includes more than twenty productions spanning over a decade. He has taught students of all ages and currently instructs at the middle and high school levels, cultivating a love of music in the next generation of artists.
Ryan’s recent professional credits include musical director/pianist for Arts and Communication Magnet Academy’s 2019 production of Cabaret, musical and vocal director/guitarist and keyboardist for Westside Christian High School’s 2019 production of Godspell, and primary accompanist for Westside’s thirteen-time OSAA 3A State Champion Concert Choir.
He currently works as a private music instructor, as well as a student teaching candidate in the band department at Mountainside High School in Beaverton, where he is on track to receive an Oregon K-12 Music Teaching License in early 2022. Ryan is delighted to be joining the Oregon Chorale for the 2021-2022 season!
